Run a giveaway

Manage giveaways.

Giveaway rules live on the Points settings page alongside the channel's points configuration.

Set the rules

  1. Open Points Settings.
  2. Expand Giveaways.
  3. Set the entry time.
  4. Set the prize range.
  5. Set the winner count.
  6. Set eligibility.
  7. Set the wait between giveaways.
  8. Save the settings before you go live.
  • While the channel is live, open timed entry.
  • Select eligibility and the winner count.
  • Then award random point prizes.

Start and finish

Each eligible viewer can enter once.

  1. While the Twitch channel is live, open the Points Dashboard.
  2. Select Start in Giveaway.
  3. Tell viewers to use the configured join command.
  4. Select End to draw winners and award prizes, or Cancel to stop without winners.
  • If Start is unavailable, check stream status.
  • Check for an active giveaway.
  • Check the cooldown that the dashboard shows.
